PowerEdge R730 BIOS Upgrade Path
I wanted to know if there is a required and/or recommended upgrade path going from BIOS version 2.1.7 to version 2.18.1? Am I able to jump directly to 2.18.1, or are there intermediate versions in between that should be installed before going to 2.18.1?

My experience with bios updates is that big jumps are usually ok, but if you want to play it safer, do every 4th version or so and you should be fine. fyi, this is the latest version now: BIOS_KM6P8_WN64_2.19.0.EXE
now idrac versions on the other hand, 3 or 4 versions tops for jumps IMHO. And the bios upgrades should be relatively close to the idrac versions that were released at that time, so you might have to step both together if idrac hasnt been updated in a while.
