iDrac9 local root account not working after enabling directory services.

Currently on iDRAC9 firmware 7.00.60.00.

Local root account stops working once I enable and configure LDAP directory services.

Prior versions did not have this behavior. How do I get my local root working again?

Edit: This was working as of 7.00.30.00.

Hello,

You may try a flea power drain first:

drain flea power (shut down, disconnect power cables and Network cables, hold in power button 20 seconds with cords removed). After flea power drain, system has to set for 3 minutes for DRAC to reset without any power plugged in, then plug in NIC and power but wait 2 minutes before power on to give DRAC time to initialize.

Check results

If that doesn't work the use the steps below to run racadm racresetcfg.

This would reset the DRAC to defaults and then reconfigure the DRAC.

Install DRAC tools. This link is for Dell iDRAC Tools for Microsoft Windows Server®, v11.1.0.0:

If you have different OS you can find it on the support page for your server

From the host OS you can use racadm racresetcfg

Then reconfigure your DRAC settings.
