iDRAC9 Group Manager - Alert Configuration

Hello

We are using 3 iDRAC9's that we made into a group.  My question about Alert Configuration is this:

If we go into Group Manager and set the alerts for all 3 iDRACS, it does not save the configuration if you were to go into them individually.

This first pic is selecting the alerts through Group Manager

Now if you g into them individually, the alerts are not saved.

Do we have to select one or the other?  If we kept it saved while setting them in Group Manager, would we be alerted if our Primary went down?  Trying to figure out how alerts work between setting individually vs through Group Manager.

Any insight on this is greatly appreciated.

Thank You

I think this may be a misunderstanding, as the page you provided, seen below, is write only and don't reflect what you have.

Now if you expand Alert Configuration, you will see it sets it, as you can see below.

Let me know what you see.

Hi,

I might need some time to try look around for test servers to check on the issue for you. At the moment, could you check if all 3 iDRAC and BIOS are up to date? And they are at the same firmware level?

Just a rough idea and checking out the Group Manager alerts, after you have configured the Group Manager alerts, could you go to an individual server (which is in the group) and do a test event, eg: RAC0100. Does the group manager receives the alert?

Thanks for reply.

All 3 servers are on the same BIOS/Firmware versions.

BIOS - 2.10.0

Lifecycle Controller FW - 4.40.00.00

I did run the test event like you asked RAC0100, and did not receive any alerts

They each should individually report issues that they have.

Hi Chris

That was a little confusing, but i see now that it DOES set on the individual servers.  So then, we really do not need to check anything off in the Quick Alert Configurations when using the Group Manager then.  So out of the 3 servers we have, if the Primary Controller goes down, a new primary is chosen and alerts will be sent out that it went down, through the second chosen primary controller??  if that makes sense??
