@DELL-Young E​ Hello, I need tpm 2.0, not 1.2, other than that not sure if I can find it. Do I buy it directly from dell somehow/where? or is it being solt in other places? The part of the owners manual that you've linked doesn't talk about where to get it from.

My problem is that the server is out of varranty period, and I'm not the hardware owner. Does this mean I can't contact support, even just for case of buying parts?

It would really depend on your region, so for instance USA or Canada if you need parts you would reach out to Dell Spare Parts at (800)357-3355, regardless of warranty. So it depends on where you are as to what the process would be, but if you contact support for your region they can get you to where you need to be to get the part. 

Okay, so generally I am in Poland and the server is also located there, but it was not reregistered to new owners, it's registered to France. Is tpm one of the problematic parts I cannot buy in such case of region mismatch?

I don't believe so, but another thing you can do if concerned is to do a change of ownership and change the servers details to your region.

@DELL-Chris H​ I think I can't do this, because it requires knowing old server owner data, and also, I am not the new server owner. This is a dedicated server, which means I'm renting it only. Owners agreed that they can install things like tpm module, so that part is not a problem, but I wouldn't really be able to change ownership without having stronger relations with them. Of course there is a concern whether I can buy the part and make it to be sent to an address which is not registered, like either my home or directly the datacenter.
