DES-1423 and prerequisites

Hello,

Since I have completed Powerscale trainings (PowerScale Admin Training and PowerScale Advanced Admin Training) both for OneFS 9.0 I would like to try to pass DES-1423 and later DEE-1421 exams.

I know from prerequisites that to be able to get the certification I need to pass also DEA-1TT5 exam.

I understand that to be able to get Specialist and Expert level I need to also have the Associate but can I pass DES and DEE first (since I am relatively fresh after trainings), do not receive any rank, and then take Information Storage and Management V5 training and pass DEA-1TT5?

I just want to pass exams it self as soon as possible.

From my Dell contact I have received an information that since I am a customer (not partner etc.) it is possible - is it true?

Second thing:

Are there any soon plans to update DES-1423 and DEE-1421 exams? They are still cover OneFS 8.1.0

Third:

Where Can I ask questions about DES-1423 practice test valid answers? I have probably found wrong (marked as valid) answer in one of them and I am confused now...

Hi - you can take the exams in any order. As you mentioned, the certification will not be awarded until all requirements are met, but exams do not need to be taken sequentially. Schedule away!

We do not currently have plans to update the DES-1423 or DEE-1421 exams, but we will certainly pass along your feedback.

If you have specific questions regarding practice test content, please submit them here. It will be helpful to include the practice test name, question (in text, not the question number) and your question.

Best of luck on your exams!

Thank You for answers!

I will send my question regarding practice test via form.

I am having problem with question about maximum number of nodes in a cluster in onefs 8.2.0

Correct answer in practice test is: 252

But according to the readme from 8.2 it is 144:

Initial maximum deployment is 144 nodes with plans to support larger configurations in the near future.

https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/pl-pl/000158479/isilon-onefs-8-2-enhancements-and-known-and-resolved-issues

Yet in the same time this doc (page 7) suggest 252 in 8.2 (maybe some sub version)

@milap84 Hello, answer on your question is:

maximum number of nodes for GEN 5 nodes - 144

maximum number of nodes for GEN 6 nodes - 252

this is depend from Hardware not with OneFS version.
