How to explore a topology map

Map overview

ProSphere uses maps to allow you to browse the SAN for performance information and other data. On initial display,a ProSphere map shows the following:

• The Configuration Item (CI) dialog box you selected from another part of ProSphere as the subject of the map

where the subject of the map is outlined in yellow. Currently, hosts, arrays, and virtual machines can be the subject of a map.

• Any host, fabric, or array connected to the map subject.

Maps in ProSphere are designed to display a limited number of CIs. For example, all information displayed

in a map is filtered based on the Map Subject. This allows you to see information directly relevant to the CIs

you are interested in.
