My Warranty is over, what Dell software (apps) can I remove from my desktop?
There are a number of apps that startup and are running all the time, I want to know which ones I can safely remove.
Also, when I do updates, what do I do if an update causes a problem now that I do not have a warranty with Dell?

It might help to know what model Dell computer you have, what version of Windows you are running, and which particular apps you are talking about.
But generally ... AFAIK, none of that Dell developed software is required for Windows to run properly on your hardware.

Now that you are out-of-warranty (or beyond extended warranty period) ... any software or hardware problems you encounter will be your responsibility to fix and/or repair.

1. A clean install is recommended than uninstalled Dell apps. Just do not delete dell factory restore partition on hdd. If you prefer not to clean install, then uninstall Dell support assist which is Dell bloatware and risky.
2. do not let windows auto update. Thus back to point 1. Do a clean install of latest Win 10 pro and edit group policy to disable auto Windows update.
Some windows update may also update bios without user consent which is risky.

Thank you Tesla1856, Since my warranty expired early this year, I still periodically check for updates on the Dell site and it has done a couple. I I just recently (a couple of days ago) did a "critical" Dell update and it contained updates for the BIOS, plus updates for my Intel and Killer WiFi, so should I keep updating with Dell ? If an update from Dell messes up my computer will I have to pay them to fix it?
My software companies (Microsoft for example) offer updates for years after the initial purchase, does Dell not do that?
If you recommend that I do not update with them, will my computer security be affected?
Here is my system:

Thank you for your reply, however, I do not want to make a clean install of Win 10 first, because I have a lot of older games that I had trouble installing in the first place and when through a lot of steps and troubleshooting to make them work.
Secondly, there are so many updates that have been made to all my software I do not want to have to go through all of that again.
