Dell DataSafe (Local Back up) won't create recovery discs
We have two XPS 14Z laptops (Win 7/64). They were purchased in April & May and we have been unable to use Dell DataSafe to create the recovery discs on both machines. It is the same version - 9.4.67 of the software on both machines. I have re-installed the software on one machine but the error message persists. The burner works just fine and I have used it to create other media. The error message we get is as per the attached photo.
Any ideas?

Hi Wrenchead,
You may try installing the latest version of the Dell DataSafe Local Backup from the following link:
http://bit.ly/bbYoho
On the link, please click on the option that reads ‘Click here to check if your computer has everything required to run Dell DataSafe Local Backup’.
You may also try changing to a different brand of discs or use a USB flash drive (> 8 GB) and see if you are able to complete the backup.

Thanks for the reply GauravS. I had already done as suggested but without luck so I re-tried yesterday and got the same result. The DSL check says "Congratulations, your system is configured correctly" however I get the same error as in my earlier message. I have tried with four different DVD types too, all fail. Interestingly enough, it also will not work with a USB flash drive. I'm wondering if the issue is with the factory image on my laptop instead?

I appreciate your efforts.
I have sent you a private message. Please reply with the Service Tag of the systems. I will check the system records and look for alternate options as you are not able to burn the discs.
