wireless printing from my laptop

I just bought an Inspiron 1501 with the wireless 1490 mini card installed. I also received the Dell 926 all in one printer. I want to be able to send jobs to the printer without a direct connection. Will the Wireless Printer Adapter 3300 do this for me? My laptop works well to logon to the internet, will it be as easy to setup wireless printing? My 1501 has Windows XP with an AMD TK-55 processor. Most of what I will want to print will be from Word or Excell.

Blair, the 3300 adapter should work fine for what you need. I've been using one in a (residential) network with 4 other PCs, wired and wireless, including an Inspiron E 1505 notebook. Setup is quick and performance is good.
 
Read some of the user comments here: http://reviews-cdn.dell.com/2341/310-6263/reviews.htm. I'd give it a 5/5 rating.

   I also have a Dell Inspiron 1000 with a 1390 wireless card. I don't even think that I am going to use a desktop anymore. I want to get highspeed internet going to a router to go online for both laptops and the 3300 adapter to interface with the printer.

Hope you folks have better luck than I have with wireless.  I purchased a Dell 966 printer with wireless in September and still dont have it working reliably.  A couple of days ago Dell finally agreed to replace the printer so I hope that fixes things for me.  Meanwhile it has been extremely frustrating and I have spent literally hours with the telephone support folks IN INDIA !

i have a 966 printer. it is supposed to work wireless. i got the wireless card with it but not sure how to set it up so i can use it with other computers wireless

Well I can forget the wireless printer adapter. I was going to use my dell dollars coupon that I got June 30th of this year but it expired in April a month before I got it. Never again will I buy from dell I also cancelled my account with dell. From now on I buy at Office Max!
