Printer issue: Epson vs Dell
My Epson WF-2860 printer always drops off my home network whenever my Dell Inspiron 5400 AIO goes to sleep or is turned off. I have to redownload the drivers and reinstall the printer every time. I am using Windows 11, with a wireless network setup.

It seems like you are experiencing a connectivity issue between your Epson WF-2860 printer and Dell Inspiron 5400 AIO when the computer goes to sleep or is turned off. This causes the printer to drop off your home network, and you have to reinstall the drivers every time you want to use the printer.
One possible solution to this problem is to check the power settings on your Dell Inspiron 5400 AIO. By default, Windows 11 may be turning off the Wi-Fi adapter when the computer goes to sleep or is turned off, which causes the printer to lose its connection to the network. You can adjust the power settings to prevent this from happening.
To do this, go to Settings > System > Power & sleep, and click on "Additional power settings." Then click on "Change plan settings" next to the power plan that is currently selected. From there, click on "Change advanced power settings." In the Advanced settings window, expand the "Wireless Adapter Settings" option and change the "Power Saving Mode" to "Maximum Performance."
Once you have adjusted the power settings, try reconnecting your Epson WF-2860 printer to your home network and see if the issue is resolved. If the problem persists, you may need to contact Epson customer support for further assistance.

Thanks for your assistance. Unfortunately, your suggestion applies to settings on a laptop or other battery-operated device. My Dell is an all-in-one desktop, and the settings do not correspond to the ones you suggested. I did turn off the sleep setting, and I rebooted my router, which seemed to keep the printer happy and engaged. This is a puzzling problem, not only for me, but for at least two of my friends, both of whom could have invented the Internet (if they cared enough). I have also been in touch with Epson, and the technician I spoke with wasn't able to solve the problem either. If you can come up with a permanent solution, you would likely win the Nobel Prize for Printers. Thanks again.

We are currently experiencing a printer issue between two different models, an Epson and a Dell. The issue appears to be related to compatibility between the two models, as the Dell printer is not recognizing the Epson printer. We have attempted to troubleshoot the issue of quality, but have not been able to resolve it. We need assistance in resolving this issue as soon as possible.
