Dell e525w - Paper Jam

Hi all,

I recently had to take apart my Dell e525w printer, as I was getting streaks on the prints and the fuser needed changing.

I have re-assembled the printer, but am getting a paper jam, code 077-901. The screen on the printer doesn't work, so this is coming from the Dell Printer Hub program on my PC.

I have a piece left over, and assume this could be related to the paper jam issue. Research on the error code indicates this could be the case.

Could anyone tell me where this piece should go in the printer?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like it goes on the paper feeder:

My E525w has started to make a loud buzzing noise when printing - sounds like gears are not meshing.

How do you get inside? I can't find an appropriate guide anywhere.

Update on the loud buzzing:

I worked out how to get the front and left side panels off the printer. In doing so I had turned it on its back and right side to work on it.

Low and behold the noise disappeared as if by magic! Put the panels back and still all OK.

I can only think that there was a build up of toner inside the machine somewhere that was clogging up some of the mechanism.

The same part is broken on mine and the spring is missing. Can I purchase the registration sensor arm (#10) and the spring that goes with it (#9)?

Is this from a service manuakl you could possibly forward?  I need to disassemble my printer to clear a paper jam.

If you are still getting notifications from this thread, could you help me with how you disassembled your printer?  I too have a paper jam I cannot clear.  Needle nose pliers cannot reach it.
