How to install Apple Magic Mouse drivers for Windows 10 (Dell Precision 5550)
I have a new 2021 Dell Precision 5550 laptop (basically a beefed up XPS 15) on which I wanted to use an Apple Magic Mouse. It's no problem adding the mouse as a Bluetooth device under Windows 10, but I discovered that I lost the scrolling functionality when doing so. You can pay a yearly fee for software from some third party vendors to solve this problem, but that seemed absurd. Since I couldn't find any solutions on this message board, I thought I'd post one here.
Here are the steps:
1) If you've already added your Magic Mouse as a Bluetooth device in Windows 10, remove it before beginning.
2) Download Apple's Bootcamp Support Software here: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1837?viewlocale=en_AM&locale=en_AM
3) Unzip the file and navigate to the following folder:
bootcamp5.1.5769\Bootcamp\Drivers\Apple
4) Double-click on the file AppleWirelessMouseDriver64.exe. This will install the proper driver for the Magic Mouse.
5) Add your Magic Mouse under Windows 10 Bluetooth devices.
Done.

I found a proper fix. The original solution does not allow the scroll to work because the currently available mouse driver on the apple website is an old one, from 2011. Since I have a MacBook I was able to download a more recent version of the driver from Bootcamp Assistant, 2015 version, and when installed on my other windows PC the scroll works perfectly! Now, I can share this driver with anyone that wants it, but I don't know what website to upload it to? It's an .exe file so lots of services block it thinking it's a virus.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

I did this but the magic mouse won't scroll. Further research has not solved it except with more added 3rd party unknown software. The reason I am back on Dell is because apple makes it SO HARD to share with other platforms. Witness trying to get a photo out of "photo". It should be drag and drop but instead it's an export procedure. I'm happy to be totally back in Windows and out of Apple computers. I still use the ipad because there still doesn't appear to be a good competitor for that unfortunately.

same here - I can only use the left and right click and there is no way to get the scrolling on the mouse - completely useless mouse on a Dell if the touch feature doesn't work at all.
Is there not anybody who can support with the required driver, please???

I have been trying to solve this issue for ages. I tried getting around it through brigadier and no luck. I think honestly the issue was I had not removed the device and uninstalled the magic utilities app before trying the get arounds. I tried this and it worked straight away. Absolute legend.

Hello, I haven't received the Service tag or the Express Service Code yet. Can you share any of them in text format so that I can help you with your query?

Alright I uploaded the 2015 driver to OneDrive and here's the link. Probably to increase your chances of success, you should uninstall any previous apple mouse driver you have and restart before trying this one. Good luck!

The Boot camp version 5.1.5769 (linked in the original post) only supports Windows 7, 8, and 8.1. Windows 10 is NOT supported. The appropriate driver can only be accessed via a Mac (2015 or later) OS boot camp assistant.
