32 GB DDR4-3200 RDIMM 1.2V CL22 (DELL Precision 5820)

I have 4 x 32 GB DDR4-3200 RDIMM 1.2V CL22 modules.

I have inserted the DIMMs into DIMM1, DIMM5, DIMM3, and DIMM7.

When I call up "System Information" in Windows 11 Pro 4 Workstations, 128 GB of installed physical memory is correctly displayed.

But: The PC is now much slower than with 2 x 32 GB modules that were inserted into DIMM1 and DIMM5.
When I call up "System Information" in Windows 11 Pro 4 Workstations, 128 GB of installed physical memory is correctly displayed.

My processor: "Intel Xeon(R) W-2123 CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3600 MHz, 4 cores, 4 logical processors"

I am grateful for any tips.

Thank you in advance.

I don't quite understand your point about the machine being slower after adding 2 more RAM sticks. Currently, your machine has 4 RAM sticks, so it will run in quad channel mode, which increases the bandwidth. Theoretically, it should be faster. I installed 4 RAM sticks in Slots 1, 3, 5, and 7 and didn't encounter any issues.

Perhaps when you add more RAM, the first boot may take longer because the machine is checking for changes in the RAM, and every time the machine wakes up from Sleep/Hibernate, it might take a bit longer because the computer has to load data from the HDD/SSD to the RAM to restore the previous working session.
