RAID5 Status Failed
Dear Experts,
I have DELL PowerVault MD3200 with 600gbps SAS 12 nos disk, out of 1 disk is as Hot Spare. last week 1 disk was failed and automatically Hot Spare disk used for this, unfortunately we did not get idea about this situation and after 2 days, 2 more disks got failed & virtual disk/ disk group status is failed. i tried to add new physical disk in placed of faulty disk but rebuild not started automatically, physical view showing all disk and replaced disk showing Unassigned. Need your support on this case scenario as i am not able to do further process.
Thanks in advance.

RAID 5 is only able to tolerate a single drive failure -- hopefully, you have a backup of the data on the array, since you will need to replace the drives and rebuild it, and restore the data from a backup.
If the drives are all of the same age, you should replace all of them -- not just the failed ones, since it's very likely they're of similar manufacture date and all suspect for failure at this point.

@ejn63
Thanks for very prompt response.
Unfortunately I don't have latest backup (slap me 😭).
Any possibility?

With two failed discs, I think you'll find the answer in the end will be no -- you cannot recover. If you intend to attempt to have those two discs rebuilt, contact a data recovery company for an estimate. It won't be cheap (probably multiples of $1000), and may not succeed in the end, but having those two discs rebuilt is the key. If successful, and you can get the array back online, immediately back it up and replace all the drives.
The final decision is yours and likely depends on the value of the data.
