ME5024 Power of 2 RAID and disk number question
Hello,
I am wondering, what is the impact of write performance degradation, if we don't follow general rule of "power of 2"? We have 12 disks and we want to create RAID 5 from all of them (11+1). But storage tells us that optimal number of disks for RAID 5 is 3, 5 or 9.

Hello,
only sequential write performance is impacted - saving live video from camera, for example.
Most common usage of storage shouldn't be impacted, because server/user is saving data/files across storage randomly.
