MD3460 Controller Lockdown

Hi All,

I have a md3460 that is in a controller lockdown state, i have attempted to reset the password.

 Service Interface Main Menu
==============================

  1)Display IP Configuration
  2)Change IP Configuration
  3)Reset Storage Array Administrator Password
  4)Display 7-segment LED codes
  Q)Quit Menu

    Enter Selection: 3

Are you sure that you want to reset the Storage Array Password ? (Y/N): y
07/14/24-10:24:47 (spriTask): WARN:  Storage Array Password reset failed

which im not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing, I have managed to get the controller to prompt for a login and password, im just not sure what the defaults are, i have assumed the "default" password is the serial number of the controller, but nothing seems to work, i have tried admin, setup, restoreddefaults, restoreduser.

any assistance would be very apricated.

Also, from the Boot Operations Menu, as soon as I select an option the controller just starts booting, is that normal? am i then expected to use the CTRL + Break to get into the menu?

Hello,

Before you attempt to access the Shell login to reset your MD3200, I strongly recommend contacting support. There can be unforeseen issues during the reset process, and improper usage could lead to significant damage unless guided by a Dell technician over the phone.

We don’t disclose the username and password publicly for security reasons. However, since you’ve managed to find the credentials through a web search, you can proceed with resetting the system independently. Here are a few reference links that might help:

Hope that helps!
