iSCSI vs NVME Host

Hi

I am testing NVME TCP/IP vs iSCSI hosts. I have 2 hosts in each vCenter clusters with same virtual machines that I am doing storage vMotion on them

2 hosts are added as NVME and 2 as iSCSI. when I perform storage vMotion iSCSI finishes it quick but NVME host takes almost 30 minutes.

Both vms are windows with 500 GB THick eager zero disk. I was expecting that  NVME would finish faster

What do you think i misconfigured. Controllers discover is set to advertise DDC

Also in this documen

https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/powerstore-5200t/pwrstrt-ntwkg/cable-the-nvmetcp-network?guid=guid-41803c07-302d-43d6-9793-5bdcf5767f16&lang=en-us

is it mandatory to use this particular port for NVME trafic. At this point we have storage connected directly to HPE Blade chasis synergy and we plan to do it once it is in production

Anything wrong with this settings. I am surprised that iSCSI does storage vMotion way faster then NVME TCP

Does VAAI kicks in when using iSCSI? Iam just guessing because when VAAI is supportet you dont see traffic flow to the host because the SAN just move blocks around on SAN level and than inform ESXi when finishing.

A "esxtop" will tell you.

NO it doesnt apparently neither for NVME or iSCSI

Both look the same way

The question would be also whether I should use Manual configuration of CDC with IP address or advertise DDC. What would be benefit of each method
