Hi Zulhadi,

There is no specific UAT document , you need to follow the standard SAN procedures. Please see the below as example for the list of items to be carried out.

#Power redundancy test - Remove one of the power cables from each node and make sure PowerStore cluster should be able to run with one power supply

#Ports and cable status: Make sure all ports are connected across two switches to have the switch level redundancy. All ports are connected as per the best practices.

Power Down one Node A and confirm all Volumes are accessible from Node B. Once it power ed up please carry out same test with Node B.

#Neteork test : (ToR Switch1) : Unplug one network cable for each bond from each node and confirm there is no impact in accessing from other port, if bond ports are not connected do the same on other ports as per your implementation.

#same Network test on ToR Switch2 :

These are the main tests i believe you need to follow,  rest of them includes common tasks like license checks, code upgrades , volume creations and accessibility.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

We always perform a CM failover test as well as pull power cable and check if SMTP notification works as expected.

  • At least PowerOS 3.x comes with a healtcheck script which can you execute from the GUI
  • If you have a vSphere environment be sure you connect vCenter to your PowerStore because the SAN than read out all HBA WWN from the Hosts and compare them to the local configuration. Thats a nice feature when dealing with DirectAttached configurations
  • Deploy VSI Appliance and run the Inbuild BestPracticeAnalyser which also can remidate missing settings

You are absolutely spot on. Yes, system health check feature is pretty useful. I have come across the similar issue recently wherein I missed to add one of the VLAN to the bond port and immediately it started not just saying an error but also explaining what VLAN you need to add to the ports. @zulhadi  I hope you have already ran the system health check from the PStore  GUI as suggested by @Origin3k which I missed to mention.
