PowerPath Problems with Windows 2003 Enterprise 64 bit Edition
Has anyone encountered problems with the above config? When presenting 2 LUNs to a server, only one is seen and Windows device manager shows an error with the PowerPath driver.
Exact Config:
IBM x3850 Server - Quad dual core processors, 16GB Ram
2 x Emulex LP-1150E HBA's - Latest drivers
CX700, Flare Code 16 - Direct Connected (HBA0-SPA0, HBA1-SPB0)
CX700 Shows everything presented fine. Powerpath also shows everything fine. Windows Disk Manager will only see one LUN.
I even had the LUN disappear at one point and the other LUN appear...
When reverting to a single HBA and no Powerpath, both LUNs can be accessed.
Anyone???

The only combination that i hadn't tried (which ended up giving a solution last night) was to go down to a single HBA, remove powerpath and have all the luns on the connected SP. I then did the diskpar and format.
Since then (and after re-installing Powerpath), the LUNs seem to have been remembered and things are operational again.

I would highly recommend you open a case on this issue as what you described does not sound right at all.
