PowerPath EMCP registration file corrupt?

Hi--new to the forum. I'm using PowerPath 5.1 on HPUX B.11.11. This happened twice and I was wondering if I should be worried.

l2000:/root)# emcpreg -install

=========== EMC PowerPath Registration ===========
Do you have a new registration key or keys to enter? yes
Enter the registration keys(s) for your product(s),
one per line, pressing Enter after each key.
After typing all keys, press Enter again.

Key (Enter if done): XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
1 key(s) successfully added.
EMCP registration file is corrupt.
l2000:/root)#

The server is an L2000 connected to a CX3-20 via A6795 Tachlites.

Thanks!--Guy

not sure why it would give you that error message ..but if you look at actual devices ..do they show up set as licensed and set to correct policy ?

powermt display dev=all

try adding this way depending on the result from the above mentioned commands.

# emcpreg -add xxxx-xxx-xxx-x-xx-xxxx
1 key(s) successfully added.

Similar issue in emc137039, caused by copy/pasting the license key, the paste may contain unintentional hidden characters... Fix is below:

mv /etc/emcp_registration to /etc/emcp_registration.orig
run: emcpreg -install
"manually" enter the license key [do not copy/paste]

Let us know if this makes a difference...
