PowerPath 5.3_b473 on Solaris showing incorrect array failover mode

Hi,

Anyone seen this where the incorrect CLARiiON "Array failover mode" is shown in the powermt display dev=all output?

It has been set to 4 on the array but still shows 1 on the host even after a reboot and running powermt config. Solaris is version 5.10

Any help appreciated as I have recommended to my customer to use the new mode.

powermt display dev=all

Pseudo name=emcpower3a

CLARiiON ID=CKMXXXXXXXXXX [sun-server-198]

Logical device ID=6006016022C0250056A1F3AAD8BDE011 [LUN 176]

state=alive; policy=CLAROpt; priority=0; queued-IOs=0;

Owner: default=SP A, current=SP A       Array failover mode: 1

Seems there is a workaround for this. See emc273475 "How do I get PowerPath to recognize that I've changed the failovermode from 1 to 4?" while engineering investigate it.

Apparently this is also seen on HP/UX.

If you are experiencing the same issue as smarti and trying to search by KB number, from PowerLink instead look for: emc273435 (not emc273475).
