Does PPME: Host copy support migrating LUNS that are dynamic Stripped within Windows
All
I'm in the process of migrating LUNs from a NS-960 to a VNX-5600 utilizing PPME 6.0. I have successfully migrated several stand alone LUNS and those LUNs utilized by Microsoft Clustered services. I ran into this setup: three 6TB LUNs combined as a stripped, and was wondering if I follow the same instructions as migrating a raw LUN? Is this setup supported by PPME? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I can see the LUNs utilizing the powermt display dev=all.

Hello, from the User Guide page 44: https://support.emc.com/docu56488_PowerPath_Migration_Enabler_6.x_User_Guide.pdf?language=en_US
Dynamic disk support with Migration Enabler
When using dynamic disks with Migration Enabler, you can:
◆ Migrate all of the members of a dynamic disk volume simultaneously
◆ Migrate some members of a dynamic disk volume, commit and cleanup the migration, and then migrate the rest of the members at a later time
While preparing to migrate, allocate the same number of target disks (preferably of the same size to avoid resizing afterwards) on the target array. Pair the target disks and then create a migration session per disk pair.

Thank you Mich. With all the different versions of PowerPath installed across our servers, after your post, I noticed that I've been looking at the 5.5 and 5.7 PPME documentation which is the reason I missed if dynamic disk was supported. Thanks for the quick response.

No problem. Just a warning, due to some bugs in earlier versions PPME 5.5 and lower, please ensure you use a minimum of PowerPath 5.7 SP1 and above for any PPME migrations.
5.7 SP1 introduced better support for Failover clusters as well.
