Can CLARiiON (NS480) coexist with 3PAR on HP-UX 11.23 with PowerPath?
We have a number of HP-UX 11.23 servers connected to CLARiiONs with PowerPath. Can we connect the HP 3PAR V400 to the HP-UX server? Will it work? Will EMC support the configuration?

should work just fine, we had Hitachi and EMC connected to the same box, no issues. One time we had some issues and EMC tech told us we had to isolate Hitachi storage to its own HBAs, we told him we were not doing that ..so he backed away and continued troubleshooting the problem ( which had nothing to do with multiple vendors sharing the same HBAs)

PVLinks.
3PAR works with VxVM and with Veritas DMP. But we only have PowerPath, which doesn't (I don't think) have a "mode" for 3PAR. So, we'll have to use PVLinks.

do you have to load any third party failover software or you are going to rely on native PVlinks ?

All:
we have so far tested HP-UX 11.11 and HP-UX 11.23 with PowerPath to DMX and CLARiiON, and added HP 3PAR with PVLinks to Servers. PowerPath "ignores" disks that he doesn't "recognize" like he does with the interal disks, and we seem to be fine. If we have trouble, we'll try isolating them on seperate HBAs, but we haven't had any trouble yet.

your answer is nice news for my situation.
I have a subject that have to connect VNX onto pre-existing system environment.
The condition is IBM P570, HDS T9585, HDLM, must share the HBAs,,
I must install powerpath too.
Did you customize HDLM setting ?
Could you please share your valuable experience with me ...?

did not do anything special with HDLM, it played nicely with PowerPath on the same box.

It's very nice
If possible, could you please let me know the detail information about environment ?
Such as storage model, version of HDLM and PowerPath, OS version, etc..
