Adding scaleIO on ESX server to existing scaleIO system

Question

Is it supported to add SDS (installed on ESX) to existing ScaleIO system(SDS installed on widowns and linux physical server)? If it is supported ,how to add it? I found there is no esx related info in CSV configuration file.

You should be able to do this via vSphere plugin. Register the plugin Using the Plugin, Register existing ScaleIO system. Install SDC on ESX servers (this is a must even if you are not going to use it) Use the option: Deploy ScaleIO system, however instead deploying new system ,add servers to existing system.

Hi If your existing SIO cluster is installed  with physical hosts , I don't believe you can add storage from an ESXi host to your SIO cluster. Rdgs,  GC
