UEFI pre-boot exception DxeCore.efi when trying to install an LSI 9207-8e HBA

I am trying to install an LSI 9207-8e HBA in my Dell R630 but I get an exception in the UEFI pre-boot environment with a crash occurring in the DxeCore.efi (see picture below). The system works perfectly without the card. I updated all the drivers (BIOS 2.13.0 and LCC/iDrac 2.82.82.82) but that did not help. What further steps can I take to troubleshoot and solve this problem? Any drivers I am missing? Or is the card just not compatible with the system?

Murph9000,

I am not seeing that the card is compatible with the server, but if you let me know the specific part number listed on the card, I can let you know with certainty if it is or isn't supported.

Let me know.

I am having the exact same issue on my R730xd. The only way I have been able to bypass the issue so far has been to:

-Enter LCC / Settings, System Bios, Integrated device settings, slot disablement, and set slot 6 to boot driver disable. This will allow the OS to recognize the device and make it available in Windows. This is "if" you are not trying to boot from the storage box.

My problem started from a blue screen w/ a Driver Power State Failure. Then upon restart I received the same exact error from the picture above. The system has been running for a few years without the issue, so in essence it just started. Something failed abruptly. So far, I have used the above method to bypass the boot-up issue. I have an MD1280 connected to my R730xd. My drives are resynching after the boot disablement, but I am not confident that the problem is solved, only bypassed. Still collecting info from the system but will take any suggestions at this point.
