Hi,

These are apparently false error messages which will be resolved by the application of the latest System BIOS, ESM Firmware, DRAC firmware and Dell OpenManage Server Administrator.

Server Administrator Documentation:

<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed / replaced from this post by Dell>

After the installation of these upgrades, clear the ESM logs in Server Administrator. If the errors return, there may be a real hardware problem.

Thanks for using the Dell Community Forums!

We are getting this issue (false fan/temp messages) in a wide spread pattern (+200 servers), after applying the "latest firmware". We could ignore the logs, I suppose, but in my enterprise, that automatically invokes a ticket to oncall.

Dell R720 / Win 2008 R2 x64

bios        2.5.2
iDRAC7    2.15.10 (Build 8)
LC 2         2.15.10.10
NIC            Family 7.8.16

I noticed that the release date list in OMSA says 01/28/2015, but the download page suggests April, with the last release being August. Is it possible that the 2.5.2 didn't increment between those three dates? Are we really on the latest?
