Disk Read Error on boot mystery.
This one is making me crazy. This morning my system was running -- PE 4200/300 with Win2K. I thought it was a little slow, so I selected windows shutdown. On reboot, the hardware initializes then right after SCSI BIOS Installed Successfully! I get "A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" I can load Win2k repair console and view the disk just fine, but the system won't boot. There is no new software installed since it was running this morning. I am baffled. Dell Utilities on the RAID disk itself all pass! Can anyone help with this mystery?
Thanks!

Hi,
There is a problem with the PowerEdge Expandable Raid Controller (PERC) II which was installed in many of the PowerEdge 4200's.
The Perc II does not support a boot array of more than 12Gb. The "Disk Read" error is an indication of this problem.
