Two disks failed R410
I am a new fairly inexperienced user and I have an R410 withe 4 drive bays that I am using as a home lab setup. It shows two drives failed on the lcd screen, drives 2 and 3 showing E1810. they both failed either at the same time or very close to each other. I purchases 2 new reconditioned drives (all drives are SASS) and replaced both the failed drives with the new ones. The error persists in that I get the two new drives flashing amber. In the PERC setup (1.22.02-0612) it only shows 2 physical drives, :00:00: and :00:01:
For info, the two origional drives that errored were running OK for about 3 months before failure. I had installed TrueNAS on this machine. The repacements have allways shown the error.
Any ideas what I try next?
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
please try to test the Disks in other slots/ports.

To me this is strange. I moved drive in bay 2 to bay 0 and drive in bay 3 to bay 1. Powered up and the E1810 errors are now showing on bays 0 and 1 rather than bays 2 and 3. To me this suggests an issue with the drives themselves, but as I say above these are 2 newely purchased reconditioned drives to replace the first two in bays 2 and 3 that showed errors.

I should also add :
I do notice that I made an error above. In the original configuration the drives in bays 0, 1 were actually SATA drives and in bays 2,3 were SAS, so the e1810 errors followed the SAS drives to bay 0,1 when I did as you suggested. I have now got 4 SATA drives in the machine and all drives are good, i.e. no errors. I will try again with 4 SAS drives to see if that is OK as well, but I don't have the drives as yet. Thanks for your help
