PowerEdge M620 Drive Configuration

I have several PowerEdge M620 blades w/ PERC H710 Mini RAID controllers. Each blade holds 2 drives - is it possible to configure these blades so the OS has direct access to both drives individually (i.e. non-raid)? It looks like the RAID controller can be disabled - if I do this, how do I enable connectivity to the drives? Alternately, does the RAID controller support JBOD mode?

If none of these options are possible, are there any other compatible/recommended controllers I could install instead, that would allow this type of configuration?

Hello,
If you set individual drives to RAID 0, you can use them separately. In this way, the virtual disks you create will be seen as separate disks by the operating system. PERC cards do not support JBOD. But unofficially, you can see a few articles on the other forums some users flashed PERC cards and used them as JBOD. like https://dell.to/3slL0RJ

If you disable the PERC card, the embedded software RAID controller S110 will be enabled.

Hope that helps!
