Installing additional hard drive into PowerEdge T150

What do I need to install an additional hard drive into a PowerEdge T150 (in an existing empty bay)?

I found this video which is helpful but doesn't say what (if anything) is needed in terms of cables.

Hello thanks for choosing Dell.
May we know what HDD or controller you are using?

Drive bays 4 x 3.5-inch cabled SAS/SATA (HDD/SSDs) max 30.72 TB
You can use up to 4. (looks like you are using 2 for now)

Hello did you use backplane?
Or if it's only the data cable is that you need, the part information I gave you should be enough.

I'm going to do what the video is doing, since that's the only instructions I've been able to find.

Also, how to I buy that part on the Dell site?  I went through a bunch of pages on the web site but no joy.

Hello, have you tried this link?
https://dell.to/3T5uC3d
Or another thing I could recommend is you can get in touch with tech support through this link ( it means you have an official ticket with them), and they should be able to help you with local purchase. https://dell.to/420cZps

I looked at the accessories available for the T150 here.

I did not see a SATA cable.

Please post a direct link to the part needed.

Thanks!

SupportDude2023,

The part number provided is a Dell internal part number, which is why YoungAh was suggesting you take it to your regional sales person. Now regarding your previous questions, if you have a cabled hdd setup then the part YoungAh provided would be correct, but if you have pre existing drives that cable should already be present in the server and you should just need to connect the available end. The other thing I noticed is the drives themselves, as I am not certain Golds are supported on the server. If you give me the part number on the drive I can verify that for you.

The sales part number looks to be AA880553, as seen here, but still doesn't look to be supported in the T150. The reason I say this is there is no 10TB drives showing under the T150, there are larger and smaller but nothing specifically at 10TB.

If you are in touch with sales they should be able to confirm that.

The SKU for the 10 Tb WD Gold HDD is: WD102KRYZ.

Could you give me the internal part number so I can tell the sales rep?  Thanks!
