Make sure they are enterprise class SSD drives, and that your server's bios and other firmware are completely updated prior to installing the drives.    Dell no longer requires that they be Dell drives, but the bios must be current to use them. They will show up as uncertified drives in OpenManage, but will still be functional.

You will need a drive carrier or caddy for the SSD drive. They can be located here: http://www.impactcomputers.com/f238f.html

SSD's are either SAS or SATA (most are SATA).

About what?  SAS HDD's have exactly the same connector as SAS SSD's and would use the same carriers.

The one Geoff linked to will hold SAS and SATA drives, regardless of whether or not they are SSD's.

Shouldn't be anything else (hardware) required.  Depending on your controller, you may need to configure the disk in a RAID array before you can use it ... the PERC 6/i and H700 do not support non-RAID, so a single disk must be configured as a RAID 0.

What OS do you have installed (if any)?  It is easiest from the OS, but can be done outside of the OS as well.
