Failed Hard Drive
Hi, we have a T430 running 2 1TB SSDs in RAID-1 and 6 4TB Seagate Iron Wolf Pro in RAID-50. Recently one of the 4TBs showed as failed in Idrac (orange flashing LED), I replaced with a new Seagate IWP 4TB but it also showed as failed. I was going to replace the backplane but thought I would check first of all with a spare Dell 2TB which showed as ok but non-Raid. I would have thought this suggests the backplane is ok and that it's a fault with the PERC H730 or is it possible the RAID is corrupted? Any help/clues gratefully appreciated. Sean

Hello,
the first thing that came to my mind was the non-Dell part. It may cause firmware incompatibility. Ensure that the replacement drives are compatible with your system.

@DELL-Erman O Thanks Erman but it has been working fine up until recently and the other 7 drives seem to have no problem.
