Racadm error

Hello,
Could you help me?
After rebooting iDrac9, my web UI fell off and I also can’t connect via ssh. I think the problem is with the certificate in the https connection.
I installed the following package on the esxi7 host:

esxcli software vib install -d DellEMC-iDRACTools-Web-ESX70i.VIB-10.2.0.0-4631_A00.zip

but when connecting I get an error:

racadm getsysinfoERROR: Unable to perform requested operation

Are there alternative options to connect to iDrac?
Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions.

The VIB you have installed is a older version... but i dont think that this is a problem... can you "ping" the iDRAC? IIRC you can reset the iDRAC whenn pressing the info button for 30sec or so.

If this does not solve thre problem you need to shutdown the Server, remove both powercables and press the Start buttong for 15sec. for a power draining. After that reconnect the powercables and power up the server again.

@Origin3k Hello Joerg,
Thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately, the server is located remotely, I don’t have physical access to it, is it possible to fix the problem remotely? for example, update the .VIB package and connect remotely to reset the ssl certificate settings, the server itself "ping". Version package 10.2.0.0 for ESXi 7.0 U3.
Thank you very much for your help.

Regards,
Arthur.

Doing it "remotly" is the one and only way because you have a hard time to upload something when only having phys. access ;)

  1. You need access to the Host Client to upload the VIB into a datastore(otherwise (p)scp)
  2. You need to anable SSH to use the commandline "esxcli" for updating the VIB
  3. You can use VUM/LCM to upload the VIB and create a baseline

BUT... i got the same error msg on a older Windows driven server last week and the solution was to shutdown the host and perform a power draining to iDRAC boots from a cold start.

Regards,
Joerg
