R740 Platform-Specific Bootable ISO Fails to Boot
I have updated the firmware & drivers our R440 & R730 PowerEdge Servers using Dell's Platform-Specific Bootable ISO with no issues, but I'm having issues when updating the R740 servers. I tried using the Dell prebuilt ISO PER740_BOOTABLE_21.12.00.24 and creating them from DRM but get the same errors. When selecting the One-shot UEFI Boot Menu and select my bootable USB. I get this error.
When I try selecting the BIOS Update File Explorer and select bootx64.efi file. I get this error.

Dustin S.,
Would you clarify what specific device you are trying to update? I ask as the platform specific ISO's for the 14th generation were mostly pulled due to demoted content, as seen here. I know you were using the ISO when you used DRM, but have you tried to assemble and create the ISO just from the individual updates? If so you may want to try that path, and attempt it without using the contents of the ISO.
Another thing to consider is if you have secure boot enabled, as it isn't supported with this process.
Let me know how it goes.

Can you share the current BIOS version available on the server? If it is not latest can you update BIOS separately then try to use this ISO. You can download windows update package EXE file for BIOS and use iDRAC to update the BIOS.

The current BIOS version is 2.1.8. They are dedicated host servers for running multiple virtual machine and operate in a PowerShell environment. They are only licensed for IDRAC express, so I can't virtual console with IDRAC. The error log for failed ISO boot was "CPU Exception Type0x0D: General Protection (Software).

Today I manually installed these updates one at a time using their .exe file and the bootable ISO still fails to run.

Ok, so taking this video in consideration: https://youtu.be/CJOde7dL2s4
Where are you getting this error? Did you try with and iDRAC evaluation license to run the virtual console?
Regards.

The second error:
I press F11 for Boot Manager => Select System Utilities => Select BIOS Update File Explorer => Select Disk connected to USB 1 => Select EFI => Select BOOT => Select BOOTX64.efi => Then I receive second error.
I'll upload the images later when it lets me again.
Our servers don't have the iDRAC evaluation license to run the virtual console. Before I can installing the license. It would have to be reviewed and approved by our leadership team to ensure it won't presents any cybersecurity risk. Unless there's a license that can be installed on a maintenance laptop and allow it to run the virtual console through IDRAC for all the servers.

I actually just checked the secure boot setting and it was enabled. I disabled secure boot and the bootable ISO is now installing the updates.
Thanks everyone for the help.
