R730 virtual disk creation fails with error PR21

Trying to create a virtual disk on an R730 (PERC H730P Mini) via idrac (8) fails immediately with error PR21. All chache/foreign is cleared. All disks are recognized and healthy. No other virtual disk exists. Sas drives. No other logs appear in lifecycle manager. Idrac reset does not resolve the issue. Schedule task on reboot provides same result, instant failure at 1%. Same result regardless of raid or disk(s) selected.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

Hello, please make sure that the disks you are using are compatible. You can check iDRAC, BIOS PERC, HDD and backplane firmware are up to date or not. You can try creating the virtual disk directly through the controller BIOS like in this article How to Initialize and Create a Virtual Disk With a Dell PowerEdge RAID Controller Series 7, 8 or 9 | Dell US
