Poweredge R710

Hi All,

I need help regarding certain error messages appearing on the server screen. We have a PowerEdge R710 server, which is still running so far, but yesterday we had two fatal errors on the event logger, and upon checking the devices, we got on the screen.

E171F - PCIE Fatal Error on BUs 0 Device 0 Function 0.
E1410 - system fatal error detected.
E1422 - CPU1 Machine check
E1715 - Fatal I/0 error review and clear sel.
I was hoping someone could give me advice on how to troubleshoot/fix these issues
Thanks

Hi,

Here's the troubleshooting step article you can refer: https://dell.to/49Oe8o1

Mostly the issue may resolve by updating the hardware firmware. Next is after the update, you can turn off C State in BIOS > System Profile Settings.

Hi Joey,

Thank you for your response. Just an additional information on our server we are running windows server 2019.

I tried to download the bios and cross checking the supported operating system the windows server 2019 is not on the list.

Thanks

Hi,

With due that the server OS is incompatible, you may face issues and errors.

There are various ways to update the firmware outside of OS, to try resolve the errors. https://dell.to/3utgJni
