PE2950 dies a few minutes after power-up
We've got a PowerEdge 2950 running Windows 2008R2 x64 that's suddenly dying about 4 minutes after power on, even if we stick in BIOS. Any suggestions? We've tried swapping out power supplies to no avail.

There is nothing recorded in the hardware log? Have you checked OMSA from the OS? Without anything in the hardware log, I would suspect a processor or motherboard issue.

Can you boot to CTRL-E and view the System Event Log for any recorded hardware errors? Is the LCD panel amber and scrolling an error message or does it stay blue? Could be faulty fans, loose heatsink, bad processor, bad motherboard ...

Thanks. There was nothing recent in the System Event Log, but (touch wood) things seem to be a bit more stable. Any idea what may be happening here?

Thanks; OMSA shows nothing new. Still up, will shutdown and try again Monday.
