Memory Slot A1 and A2 not Showing

Hi,

I get a error Message UEFI10144 : one or more memory error has occurred in memory slot

Model : Power Edge FC630

I replaced New RAM , BIOS and IDRAC are updated to latest version.

I using 32 GB ECC RAM  slots using DIMM (A1,A2,A3,A4 & B1,B2,B3,B4) total of 256GB

But now it showing 192GB because of DIMM A1 and A2 slot not showing

I dont think it has a slot problem

I tried DIMM (A5,A6,A7,A8 & B5,B6,B7,B8) slots it showing no memory found It has to config in BIOS?

I have same problem for other servers also when i update BIOS to Latest then it again show and 4 servers remain same after BIOS update also

Ranjith_26,

Would you confirm some details for me?

What is the Memory Mode showing as in the BIOS?
What is the specific part number for the dimms, so I may verify compatibility?
How many processors are currently installed?
Have you individually tested the dimms, in slot A1 for single CPU, or A1 and B1 on dual CPU?
Are these dimms an upgrade, if so do the original dimms have this problem as well?

Let me know.

Hi,

Do have other CPU to test with? I check E5-2673 v4, but it's not listed for FC630. E5-2670 v3 is.

Was this working before? Can try swapping CPU to check the issue.

I just noticed one of the picture you have screenshot has your server service tag. It is considered your private info on a public space. I would suggest removing it to safe keep your informations.

Hi, if other DIMMs that you are sure are working do not work in A1 and B1 slots. Then the slot is suspected first. The possibility of it being from the processor channels is considered later. When compatible parts are used, the probability of a processor-related problem is less likely. The DIMM itself or the slot on the motherboard is more likely to be suspected. Also, as far as I understand, you have installed parts on the server a few times. There may have been static electricity on the server, so I recommend draining the flea power.

1. Power the server down.
2. Disconnect server from all power cables, Network cables.
3. Hold down the power button continuously for at least 10 seconds.
4. Insert power cabless and network cables back to the system.
5. Wait about 2 minutes before powering on the server for iDRAC to be refreshed.
6. Power the system on.
