M910 IDSDM not in BIOS, can't enable SD card mirroring.
I have an M910 with the latest 2.10 BIOS.
I can boot off an SD card in the lower IDSDM slot and I can see a vFlash card in the upper slot in IDRAC 6 (3.65). However, IDRAC does not list any firmware version for the IDSDM so far as I can see.
I have read the poweredge-idsdm-whitepaper and everything else I can find about the IDSDM, which isn't much.
I want to enable SD card mirroring. The option to do this should be under "Internal SD Card Port" in the BIOS but this option is not there. The visibility of this option is supposed to depend on "Internal USB Port" being on. I've tried it both ways.
How can I get this option to show up? Or is there any other way to enable SD card mirroring?

If you are using the vFlash SD card (enabled), then you will not have any redundancy. This is a reason you are not seeing SD card Mirroring option. To have this option, you have to give up the vFlash slot.

I have disabled vFlash in iDRAC. Is that what you meant? It makes no difference. I have read the paper, it says:
The only place that a user can modify the IDSDM module state is in the BIOS;
that's why I didn't try disabling it in iDRAC before. That and the 'Enable vFlash' option in iDRAC help says:
Select this option to allow you to perform vFlash partition management on the vFlash SD card. Clear the checkbox to disable vFlash partition management
which doesn't sound like it disables the whole thing.
Any more ideas?

Check the iDRAC SEL for issues pertaining the IDSDM. See page 7 of the same white paper for more information. What might have an idea of what is going on.

I have nothing at all in the SEL since it was cleared in August last year.
The vFlash pages will no longer load in iDRAC since I disabled vFlash.
The Removable Flash Media page show one line: a tick then vFlash Media then Absent.
I tried RACADM:
$ racadm vflashpartition list
DCHIPCommand (RIPS) failed: ret = 1 ESM Status = 0 IOCTL Status = 0 IPMI Completion Code = c0
ERROR: Error while getting the SD card info.
$ racadm vflashpartition status -a
DCHIPCommand (RIPS) failed: ret = 1 ESM Status = 0 IOCTL Status = 0 IPMI Completion Code = c0

At present there is a normal SD card in SD1 which is actually running a hypervisor, and another normal SD card in SD2 which I would like to act as mirror.
