Checking multiple service tags
Hi,
I have a large number of service tags. Is there an easy way to enter multiple service tags to check the warranty status on all of my hardware?
Thanks,
Paul

try this way
log in on www.dell.com
go to "Your Account" -> "Find My Products and Services" -> on drop down menu select "By Service Tag" -> enter the service tags in the box or select a csv o txt file to import a list of service tags... after that you import all the service tags, go to "My Products List" and enjoy it!

Ruskibear,
As far as I know they have not added a feature back to do multiple tags, if I come across anything I will let you know.

When dececk posted in June of 2012, it worked. But 3 years later the Dell site has changed.
1. His answer still works now, but you have to enter (or have entered) all the systems into your account.
2. There exists an API; I don't know the details, but some third-party tools exist to help:
http://spiceworks.com
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dellwt/
3. You can also send a list of Service Tags to your TAM, or to the Sales/Warranty renewal department to get a listing of warranty details.

To further clarify...
...that didn't help at all.

I've been using this and just realized that it considers Dell Digital Delivery a warranty and now all of my warranty dates are in question.

The batch upload is no longer available. Is there any other way to accomplish this?

Hi,
My support here is limited to hardware issues, I might be able to provide exact answer to your questions. Though, I had a look at the support site FAQ and found something. The batch upload is still available, probably the format has changed? https://dell.to/3pAvkX8
Large number of Service Tags
On the Find & add products tab, use the drop-down list box to find products by Service Tag. Next, on the right half of the page in the “Or, upload a CSV file containing Service Tags” section, click the Choose File button to select the CSV file you wish to use and then click Open. The file will attach to the page. Click the Upload button to import the Service Tags to your product list.
Microsoft Excel
When using Microsoft Excel to create or edit a CSV file, the first row of the file needs to contain the column headers Service Tag, Description, and Group Name (example: cell A1 header is Service Tag and all data listed in column A will be Service Tags). The import function will search the first row for these column names and the associated data below those names. The only required column and data is Service Tag. Description and Group Name are optional. Excel will use the same Text Editor rules when it exports the file to CSV format. Improperly formatted files will be rejected.

Let me know if it helps.

The site has changed and there is no dropdown.

I would add a screenshot but I am unable to. Here is the message that I am presented with.
To protect your Dell account, we no longer allow bulk upload of products. We continue to look into alternatives to make this easier for you.

Hi,
Perhaps you can try logging in at https://dell.to/2UEfbBU to get the product updates in the profile.
Here the article: https://dell.to/3kCvklT

Forget it. I know how to login to my account and add products to my account. The ability to upload a list of service tags to your account has been removed. I manually added each service tag one at a time last night and it took hours. It is really sad that something that use to take minutes now takes hours. I have already notified my account executive that I am unhappy about this. I was hoping it was a hidden feature or something now that the website has been updated. I guess not.
I would also suggest that you validate your solutions before posting them. All the documentation you are referencing is for the old site.

Hi techguy419,
your right, since we changed the website we decided to remove the bulk upload until we find a safer solution.
If you ordered a couple of new systems you might consider using the order number to "bulk" upload the new systems.
As soon as we implement a new solution you will find it on the website.
Apologies for any misunderstanding and the circumstances you had.
Best regards,
Stefan

So has this capability been added yet? I still see no option for bulk upload of products/servicetags
