wont boot up dell 9020
Had a teacher working on her computer and the screen went fuzzy black and gray and it shut off. When it powers on - it makes a loud beeping noise and all lights are flashing orange. I have had her turn it off and unplug all peripheral devices and boot up - but it will not boot up.

Low and slow constant beep beep beep beep is bad ram.
Which could be caused by failed power supply.
Flashing Amber means its not totally dead.
Solid amber power button is usually dead motherboard.
These models are VERY OLD and therefore getting a working unit is usually cheaper than fixing a bad one.
You did not say what size you have.

Try replacing the size 2032 CMOS battery. A bad battery will cause all sorts of seemingly unrelated problems, including throwing inaccurate or confusing error codes. Cheap fix even if by chance nothing changes, but can be nearly impossible to work around if it's causing problems.
You said all lights are flashing orange. What's all lights? Only light flashing orange on PC would be power button. If it's flashing, it can mean bad power supply. However, if it's blinking a sequence to indicate an error code, please let us know.
You also said you had the teacher unplug peripherals. Smart move. With the PC in that state, with it off, do you get a green light if you press the test button on the PSU?
