use M6300 DVD drive in 3020 SFF
I have a DVD drive from a Precision M6300 laptop that was scrapped.
It is the same form factor as the one in my 3020 SFF.
The only difference is that the M6300's DVD drive has one connector whereas the 30s0's has two connectors.
Is there an adapter cable I can buy so that I can use the M6300's DVD drive in the 3020? The M6300's DVD is a writer whereas the 3020's is just DVD ROM.

The reason for One Connector vs 2 is simple.
ONE is IDE ATAPI and the other is SATA.
You cant use Laptop IDE drive in a model that needs SATA.
Its not going to ever work.

Thanks.
I simply "assumed" that since the hard drive for the M6300 is SATA that the DVD is too except with a proprietary connector.
Oh well. Too bad
