Upgrade Optiplex 390 for gaming
Hello everyone. I'm using Optiplex 390 MT with i3 2120 processor. I want to play game using this pc. So right now I just upgrade the GPU to GTX 1050 Ti only. The RAM is slot1 4GB DDR3 and slot2 2GB DDR3. What is the highest upgrade for processor (I think I can afford i5 only) and RAM that I can get? I don't know much about PC so I hope all your help is greatly appreciated. May god bless you all. Thanks in advance.

@redxps630 Thank you for that. But do you know which i7 processor would also compatible with this mobo? I will check the price. Maybe I could afford for the cheapest one.

@bradthetechnut Thanks for checking. I thought about bottleneck too but don't know where to check. I thought i5 2400 is enough already. Never knew it is still weak for the GPU. But I intend to keep the GTX 1050 Ti. I'll buy the i7 2600 then.

@Matt Adam,
You're welcome.
The way I check bottneck: Google search bar - "[CPU] [GPU] bottleneck." Then I pick the option that's PC Builds bottleneck calculator. It was redxps630 I learned to check bottleneck from many months ago.

Though it doesn't list the i7-2600, the Optiplex 390 Tech Guide has a list of compatible CPU's.
