Optiplex 760 E7500 Memory upgrade
I have an Optiplex 760 x-64 running Win10 Pro that's using up 71-85% of memory with minimal applications (email, Adobe Reader, Win Office, etc.) - it is much slower than when first purchased.
Intel Core 2 duo E7500 2.93 GHz,
BIOS is A16 8/16/2013, installed memory is 4GB.
From some discussion boards, I understand that I could upgrade to 8GB of memory via a pair of DDR2 4GB 800MHz PC2-6400 1.8V 240 pin, non-ECC unbuffered memory modules.
Is this correct, or is there something else required?
Tnx,
Bob

In reply to automated email:
This was a refurbished mini-tower purchased a number of years ago, so I doubt there is any warranty left.

Total of 8GB of RAM with 4 DIMMS, 2GB each except in the USFF. See image below.
It will definitely improve speed with Win10. In my previous 755, increasing RAM to 8GB and using an SSD made the the thing fly. It might not be as fast with a dual core CPU, but it'll definitely be faster.
I like using A-Tech RAM. Lifetime warranty and a good way to save $ on older or refurbished machines.
