You need a single slot LP (low profile) card to fit. Some suggestions:

Useful info, @bradthetechnut. 😊
I have an OptiPlex 7010 DT lying around here. It came with an i3-3220 and 4GB RAM, so I stuck a Xeon E3-1275 v2 in it, and maxed it out with 32GB RAM; both were fairly cheap upgrades.
Now I’m thinking… should I seek out a low profile RX 6400 and whack that in too?
I also have three OptiPlex 5040 SFF units in the same pile, one i5 and two i7s. Hmm… 🤔

concur w chino and brad on HD 4870. you could install a low profile amd card such as 8490 in SFF. when the card has a thick cooler, install in blue PCIe slot.

@icourt
"… should I seek out a low profile RX 6400 and whack that in too?" It'll work with the DT being a little larger than SFF.
