Optiplex 3020 GTX 1650 GPU upgrade
Hi everyone,
I have the Dell OptiPlex 3020 MT with an i7-3770 and 8gb ddr3 RAM. I want to install a graphics card into the OptiPlex, and I thought the Nvidia GTX 1650 Super would work. With further research I found it wouldn't fit into the system. Therefore, would a GTX 1650 run fine in the system considering the power consumption?
Many thanks for all of your help, its all appreciated.
Jacob.

P.16/41 3020 MT PCIex16 slot allows up to 75W for add in card.
max card length 4.5”.
GTX 1650 is 75W. recommended psu is 300W. 3020 psu of 290W. You need to check vendor and make sure card does not require additional power connector. It appears the gddr6 model by some vendor has the extra connector not supported by 3020 psu.

Optiplex 3020 graphics card upgrade + YouTube
What you're going to see is besides the 3020 MT, is MT and SFF (& may be a DT thrown in) models powering 75w GPU cards. This has been on YouTube for some years now. What it also means is Dell 240w-290w have been powering 75w cards for years. I specify Dell because I don't know that any other brand PSU with those wattages (if they're available) can do the same.
I have yet to have any actual users tell me otherwise.
And you're right, you can't use a GTX 1650 SUPER, as it's wattage is too high and your CPU will probably bottleneck it anyway.
To check bottleneck, for example, in Google search bar, "I7-3770 GTX 1650 bottleneck." Choose the option that's PC Builds bottleneck calculator.

I’ve read through many of these suggestion. Tired everything, had the same issue. My Asus GTX 1650 gpu fans were running, using its hdmi on monitor display, but when comes to gaming, there’s no card detected.
Anyway, I solved it by updating every driver and window updates (which I saw, there a “caution sign”, this could be due to I format and installed window onto a new SSD).
Hope this helps!
