Making new nvme SSD the boot drive OS Windows 10
Device : Dell Optiplex 5050 SSF (pre installed with windows 10 pro)
Hello,
Recently I installed a new NVME M.2 SSD in to Dell Optiplex I was able to format it and create a partition and even clone my files to it but could not make it my boot drive/have my OS windows 10 start from it in as I cannot find the option in the Bios Boot sequence of the Dell optiplex especially as none of the video tutorials I watched used this Bios unfortunately. So then I tried another method where I used a USB to reinstall windows on to the new SSD but that also failed.
So overall is it even possible to set a new nvme ssd as the boot drive on a Dell optiplex device?
Any help is appreciated.

Yes it is possible. do you still have the old boot drive in 5050sff. if you do, uninstall it for now. enter bios and change sata operation to AHCI (Dell default may be RAID) save changes exit bios. then use MS installation media tool to prepare a USB. boot from the USB by pressing F12 after powe on. use the USB in advanced Win 10 install mode to delete all exiting partitions on the new ssd, then proceed to a clean install.

Always include the exact model # of your PC. Not all Optiplex's can just boot from NVME.
Edit: I see it now in the OP. Looked twice and didn't see it before.

I think the OP said it is 5050 SFF, which I quoted.

I looked twice and didn't see it before. Old age, but not as much as some other Rockstars. So I edited my post. I was wondering where you got "5050 SFF" from.
