does Optiplex 3020 support Zotac GT710 1GB PCIex1?
i have tried to install Zotac GT710 with Optiplex 3020 on 290W PSU.
i was able to detect the card on the bios and the windows device manager.
however, i was unable to get any video output from it, when the system is booted in Windows 7 64-bit.
any advice?
Thank you in advance!

Use the PCI-e x16 slot. Not sure why you would want to try x1 for a GPU?
"however, i was unable to get any video output from it, when the system is booted in Windows 7 64-bit." How are you sure system is booted into Windows if there's no video from the card?
If GPU isn't working in the x16 slot, it may be defective.

using x1 for gpu is common when setting up mining rigs.
Dell systems are not designed to use pci-e 25W slots for multiple cards in the same system. so the answer is no its not supported
A GPU supercomputer is a networked group of computers with multiple graphics processing units working as general-purpose GPUs ( GPGPUs) in tandem on a single task. GPU supercomputers enable faster processing of tasks because of the inherently parallel nature of GPUs.
Mega Hash, Gigahash etc.
GPU cards like GT710 - 2 GB will give you 33kH/s - Nvidia GeForce GT 710 Hashrate

hi,
the reason i was using x1 slot is because i have something (PCIe x4) similar as below in the x16 slot.
https://www.amazon.sg/Vantec-NVMe-SATA-Adapter-UGT-M2PC200/dp/B0751CJ139/ref=asc_df_B0751CJ139/?tag=googleshoppin-22&linkCode=df0&hvadid=389299352607&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13025685357507338216&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9062546&hvtargid=pla-811001857873&th=1
using all other SATA connections for hdd/ssd storage.
Thank you for the suggestion!
i will re-arrange the layout to confirm if GT710 is operational. Hope i can find a best fit.
