Dell proprietary 6 and 8 pin sata power cable DP/N
starting from optiplex 9020/7020 and Inspiron 3### etc. Dell has been prototyping ATX12VO psu which supplies only 12V to motherboard. which means it falls on motherboard circuit to generate the 5V and 3.3V of sata power needed for sata storage, and Dell makes a variety of sata power cable to plug into motherboard sata power socket. I have seen one such mini 6 pin connector. It is tiny, but it does not matter since sata is low power device. Just do not try to use an adapter to make such sata into additional PCIe for gpu, you will run a good risk burning off the tiny motherboard 6 pin sata power socket. the physical mini 6 pin socket is a lot smaller than 6 pin PCIe socket.
PS actually 3.3 V is no longer needed for sata storage device now, it is a legacy left over. It has been said that "since 2006, all SATA drives use only 5 and 12 volts." it would be curious to find out whether Dell has been skipping the 3.3 V pin to cut cost since it is not really needed.

NB: Dell proprietary sata pwr power cables do not use consistent pinout. it is risky to use cable without knowing exactly which model it is designed for.

Hi,
I'm trying to locate the SATA Power cable HDD/OSD for the Optiplex 5070 MT.
I'm transplanting the board into the 5060 MT, but the SATA_POWER connector on 5070 MT, is differs from 5060 MT.

The white 6 pin is Dell proprietary ATX12VO for motherboard. It is not a sata power socket. it says ATX_ SYS next to it, which means ATX power to system board. you connect a 6 pin from psu to this socket.

I know, I was referring to connectors marked SATAPWR.
Anyway solved problem, when I was removing sata 8pin power lead from mb, plastic from base of connector came off in lead.
Hence lead would not fit next motherboard, until I removed plastic part off connector.

What cable are you looking for and/or what do you want the cable to do?

Does your Vostro have a socket on the MB to do that with? Otherwise, easy and safe bet is to use a SATA power splitter.
Also, does your Vostro SFF have room for a 2nd HDD? Are you thinking 3.5"? If you go with a 2.5" HDD, with a dual adapter, a 2.5" HDD and a SATA SSD will fit in the space one 3.5" HDD takes.

It looks like a male connector for power into the MB.
@redxps630 - Can you verify one way or the other what connector #12 is for in the post above?
I tried to give a better answer, but Google constantly reverts to "Optiplex 3020." I was hoping to pull up MB images with port descriptions for the Vostro 3020 SFF.

@redxps630 Can I swap part 7GYGG with part 7G26H? I'm looking to add more sata hdd's to an xe2 sff and run a small home server. Just need more sata power than the 7GYGG provides.

Vostro 3020 is a new 2023 model. its design is probably changed from the old optiplex 3020 sata port. Dell is bad on the naming scheme reusing old model number. should have called it NEW vostro 3020, which may help a bit. Do not use old model cable on this new desktop. get the genuine cable specifically for this model.

rather than using cable of uncertain fitness for this model xe2, use a sata power splitter so that you are using the current genuine sata ports on motherboard side and have more than 2 sata connectors on the device side. chino had helped provide a link to such Dell sata power splitter. example N701D 864KE
