Dell Optiplex 7090 micro, Not booting from USB

Hi Dell Community, I have a Dell Optiplex 7090 micro and can’t boot from USB, I have my corporate image W10Pro on this USB but the UEFI doesn’t give me the option to boot from USB?! Any ideas how I can enable this?

@mono2448

There is support for enterprise images. However that support is not free from Dell or Microsoft in regards to SCCM or other images including PXE or USB etc.

USB 2.0 FAT32 flash drives are the most compatible with ALL Dell models.

I don't think you can truly turn-off SecureBoot these days (so no booting of non-Microsoft-blessed BootKits). IIRC, it's the (current industry standard) UEFI-version at play.

The next thing that comes to mind ... I think you are suppose to provision the machines from over the network.

Hi @mono2448,

A few tips:  Make sure you're using a USB 2.0 slot and not 3.0.  Until Windows is established, the driver isn't there yet for 3.0.

I can't assume, but it looks like you may have already tried the F12 Boot Menu with flash drive plugged in?

If 3080 F2 BIOS has the Secure Boot option, turn it off; then back on again after Windows is loaded.  With Secure Boot off, there's a better chance of the flash drive showing in the Boot Menu.
